Mainstream news media outlets are mostly interested in video and photographic evidence when covering the UFO phenomenon for an easy ratings grab, and even then the subject is usually not treated seriously. Nevertheless, there are stories of substance involving this subject coming out on an almost weekly basis. Most of these stories are picked up by foreign news media but are not widely circulated in the United States.
